 11 Students at the School of Education at the University of Glasgow recently took time away from their exam preparation to heed Pope Francis' call to undertake a pilgrimage to a Holy Door. Not content with one door, they visited all 8 Scottish cathedral Holy Doors in under 24 hours, on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th April. Accompanied by staff from the School of Education, they travelled only by train and foot, whilst raising money for Classrooms for Malawi. Their selfies at each cathedral were

Heritage Commission Event

 The Diocesan Heritage Commission will formally launch on Saturday 28th May with an event in St Augustine's Parish Hall, Coatbridge. Mass in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite

 Fr. Liam O’Connor in St. Mary’s, Cleland, will begin a Latin Mass, according to the Missal of 1962. This will hopefully become a regular weekly Mass on a Thursday evening at 7.00pm. It will begin on the 9th of June and take place again on the 16th of June. It will then break for the summer and resume on a weekly basis in August. The Mass is intended for parishioners from throughout the diocese who have a desire to attend.

In your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Canon Tom Gibbons, who passed away on Saturday morning after suffering a stroke.Canon Tom was born in 1930 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1954. His first appointment was to St Bride's RC Church, Cambuslang. He then served as Parish Priest of St Monica's Coatbridge from 1981 until 1997 when he became Parish Priest of St Columbkille's Church, Rutherglen. He retired to Girvan in 2010 and celebrated his Diamond Jubilee in 2014.The
